Philadelphia Air Service is Expanding

If you have taken a flight into or out of the Philadelphia area then you know the issue. The airport is one place where issues with the sheer size of the Philly area can be seen. The demand for air service can cause delays because of too few flights for so many travelers. Well, a recent announcement shows that the airlines are taking notice. Find out how Philadelphia air service is expanding.

This last week, Frontier Airlines made an announcement that show they are listening. They are expanding their service throughout the country. They are going to be increasing the number of flights available to forty-two US markets. Travelers in cities like Charlotte, Austin, Portland, etc. will see increased flight options. One area that is targeted by this expansion is Philadelphia.

They are adding a total of forty-two new routes. This is the same number of routes as the number of cities they are targeting. Philadelphia is going to benefit greatly from this expansion. Ten of the new routes will intersect the Philadelphia Airport.

Philly travelers will now have new routes to and from the following cities:
  •        Austin
  •        Cleveland
  •        Cincinnati
  •        Kansas City
  •        Nashville
  •        Milwaukee
  •        New Orleans
  •     Raleigh-Durham
  •        St. Augustine
  •        Indianapolis
These new routes won’t cost Philly travelers an arm and a leg either. Frontier Airlines is known as being a quality carrier that offers low rates. The new routes will help alleviate congestion in the area. The low fares will make air travel more affordable for some who drive because they airfares are out of their budget.

We don’t have to wait long for these new options. Frontier has announced that these new routes will start in April. I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to plan my next trip with lower airfare as an option. We are glad to welcome this announcement by Frontier Airlines and the expanded business it will bring to Philadelphia.
